Ensuring a motivated workforce
We encourage staff to maximize their potential and to excel in their day to day activities with regular training days and skills workshops supported with the recognized CPD scheme BASIS Prompt (Professional Register of Managers and Pest Technicians).
We provide effective management support. There is a structure within our organisation to support our people to ensure they have what they need to be effective. We are able to monitor and react more efficiently from our UK branch network.
Our team are given regular appraisals helping them identify clear, measurable and achievable targets common for them and the business. We help our team to work through barriers which may limit their potential to deliver the highest value to the business and our customers.

Training and Competence
All operatives have completed NBC’s rigorous internal operations training programme and passed a competency test prior to being operational. The core skills and training provided to the NBC technicians includes (as a minimum):
- Minimum BPCA/RSPH Level 2 Certificate
- Valid, full and clean driving license
- IPAF for mobile MEWP and scissor operations
- Harness training for work at height
- Mandatory NBC internal training programme
- Ability to maintain records, electronic reporting and written paperwork
- Reliable, self-motivated and well organised
- Able to work to company standards of service and conduct, and to maintain the respect and trust of the client
NBC ensure that operatives maintain competence in their role. This is achieved by documented 6 monthly assessments and refresher training, plus comprehensive annual performance appraisals including identification of additional training needs. In addition, all technicians are registered BASIS Prompt for CPD monitoring and assessment.
NBC provides in house bird welfare, bird first aid and falconry training at its Falconry Hub.
